Pocket Informant 2007 Rev 3 Now in Public Beta

Via: Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine – Bruce Keener Expert blog

Good news for Pocket Informant fans – WebIS has got a Rev 3 public beta up for PI 2007.

And the list of changes and improvements is pretty impressive:

  • Much improved One Handed support throughout the application
  • Contacts Filtering has been rewritten to have a much better UI and better searching (including across field boundaries for names)
  • A basic Today plugin
  • PhatPad 4 Preview within the Notes View
  • Contacts Editor Navigation improvements
  • Show All Appointments for this Contact menu command
  • Attendees in Appointment Summaries are now hyperlinked
  • A brand new HLS color picker
  • Option to show project names on a task when not in project view
  • Automatic Category Filters on a schedule
  • Improved Category Editor
  • Contacts View now has Call Log and Recent Contacts list
  • Updated Installer with 400+ pre-installed icons

Today plugin seems the most exciting one – I’ve wondered for a long while why PI did not include one. The various Contacts-related improvements sound quite good also.

I’ve installed it today. To get all the details and a download, go HERE

Looks nice, but no way I’m going to use a “basic Today plugin” when I have PocketBreeze! ;)
But improved one hand navigation is always great. :)
