New Bluetooth Technology: Sony Has It And You Want It…

What do you get when you cross my favorite technology (Bluetooth) with one of my favorite audiophiles (Sony)?  Well, I don’t have an answer for that one, but Crunchgear certainly does.

Crunchgear reports that the Sony DR-BT50 stereo headphones use all the latest Bluetooth protocols and pairs with phones, PDA’s, MP3 players, and anything else you can attach to a Bluetooth dongle.  Sorry, folks, you will have to look, but not touch unless you are planning a trip to Asia sometime soon.  There is no price and they are apparently to be release only in Asia for now.

If these are a little too much for you mobile users, never fear, Sony is also offering the smaller and more portable cousin, the DR-BT21G, Again, no information about price or availability, but it sure is fun to dream.

I should also add that both headphones will be compatible with Sony’s new line of Bluetooth stereos and boomboxes.  Sony, including this ZS-BT1 wireless boombox that receives Bluetooth signals via A2DP. As Gizmodo reports, it will be available in August for about $150.
