Samsung SDI Develops Thinnest LCD to Date

Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) are everywhere these days and as technology gets faster and smaller, so do LCDs.

The Korea Times reports that Samsung SDI has created the most slim LCD to date geared for mobile phones. With a thickness of only 0.74 mm, these new LCDs are to be part of next generation Samsung phones. SDI is also reported to start mass production of a 1.9mm thick LCD module for the Ultra Edition II which is slated for a Spring 2007 debut.
