Can Your Dog Spell GPS?

Via: CrunchGear

The PetsCell is a two-way, waterproof communication device with GPS. The phone allows owners to speak directly with anyone who finds their pet, and owners can track their pet’s location in real-time through a PC or hand-held device. Owners also can set a “geo-fence” boundary and are notified via e-mail when the pet steps out of the virtual perimeter.

My labrador cannot spell GPS, but he can locate a bone he buried a year ago in our backyard when he lacks entertainment.

The PetsCell honestly looks like a pretty cool way to look after you best friend – especially if he or she is the wandering type. My only concern would be how you keep this on your dog and keep him from chewing it to smithereens when he can’t find a year-old bone to keep him busy!

There are no details on price or release date yet, but you can go look for more info at the on4Communications site – as they’ll be bringing it out.

I don’t think his mouth can reach it when this is around it’s neck;)! But what happend to those little metal thingies where you could put a little piece of paper in that contains your contact info? That wouldn’t need batteries, and it’s much cheaper! (but okay, the same goes for paper calendars vs. PPC’s!)
