Windows Mobile 6 Preview

This one comes to us via Pocket PC Thoughts.  It seems that Paul Thurrott  has published a fairly extensive overview of the new Windows Mobile 6 Operating System.  His preview looks at many of the improvements WM6 will offer.  In the end, Paul seems extremely excited about the new operating system, concluding, "Windows Mobile 6 looks like a strong update, and while I still have my reservations about the schedule–where phone makers and operators often take months to start selling devices based on the new system–I’m looking forward to upgrading."  I don’t know about you, but I am jealous.  For those of you looking to upgrade from WM5…or those of you like me who are still grounded in WM2003SE, check out the full preview, and get ready to wipe that drool off of your device.

For me, looking at all of the information about WM 6 is a kind of torture similar to shopping for a new house.  You walk through the new house and look at all of the builder upgrades…then you go home to paint peeling off the walls in your old house and everything you loved about your old house — everything that was quaint and charming earlier that day — just seems so inadequate now.  You still have to live there, though, and I still have to keep using WM2003SE, no matter how much bad the walls look.
