HTC Advantage X7500

HTC, for those who don’t know, is a manufacturer of pocket pc devices who decided to start producing devices under their own name instead of strictly for other companies.  They keep pushing the technology boundaries by aggresively packing more components and features in creative designs.

The latest design is the Advantage X7500, just unveiled at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.  It looks like a mini notebook, containing a 5" VGA touchscreen, a 3megapixel camera, bluetooth 2, integrated GPS with Tomtom 6 preloaded, an 8Gig hard-drive, and a battery rated at up to 8 hours.  It will be released by T-Mobile in the European market for now.  No pricing is yet available.  Can you believe this is a phone?

This is the new official name of the HTC Athena right?

Hehe I don’t see myself holding that thing to my ear yet. :P

Yes it is the new / official name. Depends how big your ears are huh – maybe we should all work on growing the ears a bit …

Lol – maybe this is one of the things that changes the evolution of mankind. Like giraffes having long necks so they can reach long trees, humans get big ears to ‘match’ this device. ;)
Looks like this wouldn’t fit into the pocket of my jeans anymore, though :/

Ha – so us gadget freaks completely stunt evolution = marvelous

The strong species survive, right?
Communication is a good thing, and with bigger ears it will be easier to hear if someone is talking about you behind your back. ;)
So I don’t see any downsides to it.

Oh yeah – the price! Don’t think I can afford this device any time soon. :P
