GMail for the Masses!

Finally, after almost 3 years of closed invitation only status, GMail is open for all public signups! Hallelujah! GMail is my favorite email service of all time.  From my very first email account on Prodigy back in 1991 where I couldn’t even select a username for my account, to AOL, JUNO, and Netzero, I have watched the evolution of email. Google’s Email has taken the world by storm and has paved and led the way to new standards of greater amounts of storage. There is no more intuitive user interface than Google’s webmail which sports autocompletion of addresses, auto draft saves, and more.

On the mobile front, GMail Mobile is clean cut and easy to use with pages formatted specifically for mobile devices.  Just point your mobile browser to http://www.gmail.com and it will detect if you are using a mobile device (assuming you did not use Tweaks2k2 to make the GMail server think you are using IE6).

If you still don’t have a GMail account, the time is now to get in and get your feet wet with the undisputed king of email!  And don’t forget, that you can use your GMail account also as a mounted harddrive with the GMail Drive shell (for desktops).
