PhatWare Updates PhatPad, Releases Version 4.1…The Masses Rejoice.
Not long ago, I had the opportunity to write a fairly extensive review of the latest version of PhatPad 4.0. Bottom line, I loved it. Shortly thereafter, Steve Laser used this space to refer to PhatPad as his "go to" program. Bottom line, he loved it too.
So, it was with some enthusiasm that I received a notice from PhatWare alerting me to their latest update of this fantastic software. In addition to all of the great features already included in version 4.0, the new release also includes:
- Improved performance and installation experience on Microsoft Windows Vista computers
- New Multipage Undo action stores data for each page that is necessary to undo the users last editing actions, while saving information as the user changes pages
- The application’s footprint on Tablet and Pocket PCs has been reduced by 10 percent compared to the previous version
Additionally, this release includes an amazing new feature which should help anyone who has to shuttle between computers on a regular basis. PhatPad viewer is a standalone feature of PhatPad, which allows users to share their documents and drawings with Pocket PC and smartphone users who do not have PhatPad.
PhatPad 4.1 is available now at the list price of $39.95 from the JAMM store. A free 30-day trial version of PhatPad 4.1 can be downloaded from the PhatWare web site at http://www.phatware.com/phatpad. PhatPad 4.1 is a free upgrade for all registered users of PhatPad 4.0 and for registered users of PhatPad 3.0 who purchased the product on or between September 10, 2006 and December 20, 2006. All other registered users of any previous versions of PhatPad can purchase the latest version for a special upgrade price of $24.95.

Yay!! Adding the update to my “To Do” list.
BTW, has anyone ran into the problem with PhatNotes/PhatPad integration? I create and attached PhatPad files to my PhatNotes and on the PPC it works fine. After synching to PC however, they all become detached from my PhatNote file. It’s ANNOYING. Or is this a bug?
