Toshiba Back Into the Windows Mobile Mainstream?

Source: Engadget Mobile

It looks like Toshiba may be throwing its hat right back into the ring in terms of producing mainstream Windows Mobile devices – including a very hot-looking new phone device boasting a 3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display!

I never quite got round to buying one, but I can certainly remember the days when Toshiba produced their E series and other very popular PDA devices. Like various other Pocket PC device manufacturers though, they had faded from the scene of late – at least here in the US.

Engadget Mobile has some specs and some great pics of two slick looking upcoming Toshiba devices today. The G900 model has a very impressive spec including: 3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display, rear biometric scanner, 2 megapixel rear camera, front-facing video conferencing camera, 64MB of internal memory, miniSD expansion, tri-band HSDPA (yes!), 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, USB, video calling, and USB On-The-Go.

Apart from the overall impressive specs, I am glad to see Toshiba back in the frame, and also always glad to see another device with some biometric security integrated!
