DialByPhoto for Treo Allows You to See Your Contacts Before You Dial

In today’s impersonal world of e-communication, it certainly helps to have not just a name, but also a face, to provide a level of enhanced connection with others. DialByPhoto, a new program from Gx5, seems to be a promising software solution that will do this and more.

DialByPhoto for Treos enables users to speed dial or speed SMS contacts by selecting a person’s photo rather from just a dull list of names.

BOOOOO!                                               YAY!!!!

DialByPhoto provides an “ignore with SMS” feature which responds to a call by sending them a predefined SMS message letting your caller know that you are busy at the moment.

You can also customize DialByPhoto with pre-made icon and background add-on packs.

Last, but not least is DialByPhoto’s web searching capabilities which allows easy access to commonly used search services such as Google and Wikipedia.

Very nice. Does anyone know if there’s a WinMo 5 PPC Phone version of this or something similar? Thanks.

FallN, I asked the developer that same question. There is not currently a version for the PPC, however, they do plan to have one out soon. There are, however, a lot of contact managers that support picture contacts.

Thanks for the info Doug!

I was checking out Photo Cntacts Pro for WM5 but it looks a bit “junky” and bloated. I want something streamlined, simple with no extra junk or bulk. DialByPhoto looks like it would fit the bill if only they made a WM version.

Well, I guess I’ll have to wait until they release a WM compatible version…
