As usual, GREAT review! Will link to it in my forthcoming RSS bible.

BTW, I've just published the Multiplatform Podcasting / Podcatching bible at http://pocketpcmag.com/cms/blog/9/the-multiplatform-podcasting-podcatching-bible - it contains ALL the info on podcasting you’ll ever need.

Also, keep an eye on my forthcoming articles as well – I’ll soon publish an in-depth RSS bible!

Franfouine -- We'd be happy to try out the new version. Please drop me a line at brandon - at - justanothermobilemonday.com if you'd like to have the product reviewed.

I've got regular pocket pc and smartphone so which ever version you want us to look at we can. Ultimately A6.times was a great application last I looked at (at release) and it would be interesting to see how it's progressed.

Randius! You will be in heaven when you will try A6.Time 1.2 (coming soon). There has been extrem changes from previous versions:
- More intuitive menus
- You can save images where you want it
- Bookmarks
- etc.
Hope you'll give us another try with the 1.2!!!

I have also tried other RSS readers such as Egress and A6 Times and in the end, switched back to NewsBreak as it simply WORKS. That alone, outweighs any extra features other competitors may offer.

However, I wish that images can be saved offline for later viewing and the option to choose the storage path be available. Yes, like what spmwinkel has said, NewsBreak will attempt to re-establish the Internet connection to re-download the images and in my case, it will mean opening up an emtremely expensive GPRS connection. Indeed, this will be valuable feature to be included in an already great app.

I have also found no use for the today plugin and as it offers little information. I will rather save my precious screen estate (square screen here) for more important things.

Great review Doug :)
Reviews aren't only good for people who want to get to know a program, but also a great read for people that already use it for a while.

"Either way, you will be provided with a whopping 30-day trial. This is about 29 days longer than you will need." is a quote that Ilium should put on their website. :)

I started with Newsbreak, switched to Egress for a while, but in the end I returned to Newsbreak. Egress wasn't always very stable, but Newsbreak never fails for me.

The today screen plugin is indeed pretty useles to me as it is now. If it would be able to cycle through feeds in addition to displaying the amount of unread articles, it would be so much better for me! And of course people that don't need it can still turn it off.

Also, images aren't stored on the device, meaning that if you disconnect from your internet connection, the device will try to reconnect when you open a news item while being offline, in order to download the image. Being able to store images online would be a valuable feature.

Naming shortcoming isn't really fair, Newsbreak is still one of my favourite software and deserves it's place on the JAMM essentials list. :)
