The Butler Does It Again – New Version of Everyone’s Favorite Palm App
Rob and Hobbyist Software have just released the new Version 4.0 of their hugely popular Butler program for Palm Treo users.
Butler is described (and generally considered) ‘the essential tool for your Treo’ – the assistant who thinks of everything. Alarms, Attention Grabber, Navigation, Launching, LED, Keyguard and Much More.
Some of the major new features in Version 4.0 include:
-Added a built in mp3 player
-Set your own alarm messages, launch an app after your alarm. Choose any title. Set times for LED over-ride
-New Keyguard with time and ringer switch indicator
-Allowed attention manager to play mp3 with screen off if Hobbyist Mp3 Player is used
-two key keyguard added -added remote lock functionality
-Added font selection for alerts
-added remote lock commands
-added 5-way nav to mp3 selection
-added escalating alarm option
Butler has always seemed to me to be the most universally loved program amongst Treo users, and a hugely versatile tool for making the Treo march to your tune. So this new version sounds like great news for Treo users.

Heck, I’d be lucky if I could just get Jeeves to go once more around the block for me. Nice to know someone’s butler is actually working for them.
