Site Mods Continuing


Just another quick heads-up. We are continuing to make some changes to the site’s layout and theme.

In the course of doing this, we’ll experiment a little during the weekend when things are less busy. None of this should interfere with your ability to access the site. You may just notice some different looks as we try things out.  

In particular, today we’re looking at a different theme with some funky pull-down navigation at the top of the home page and a lot of clean, white space.

As always, thanks for your patience, and please give us your thoughts if you feel like it …

I like the new colors, I didn’t mind the red but when I used to try to read peoples comments, the black font on a dark red background had me looking for a flashlight.
Much, much better.

One oddity….when I hit the preview of my message “didn\’t” shows in the preview window, but there isn’t a slash on my typed message. I’ll see what happens when I hit the submit button.

Thanks tjchan – and absolutely will be working on altering the look of the store ads, and the top masthead area and more, if this theme continues to test well …

Patrick … anyway to deepen the color blue? The baby blue on white is a little tough to read.

Other than that the theme kicks butt.

Oh, and the poster name in the comments being grey. Grey on white is bloody impossible :)

If you haven’t already, try out the ‘Open / Close’ pulldown at the top right, which reveals categories, archives, links etc. – and the Live Search where it brings up results as you type – cool stuff I think …
