TxtMan – (Freeware) Threaded SMS for Windows Mobile 5

TxtMan is a threaded SMS program for Windows Mobile 5.0. It sends and receives text messages (SMS) and displays the messages as a conversation, like an instant messenger client.

It has been tested mainly on the Motorola Q, but has been reported to work on these devices:

  • Motorola Q
  • Treo 700w
  • Cingular 8125
  • Verizon XV6700
  • Samsung i320
  • T-Mobile Dash

TxtMan is able to do its job (basically intercepting’ text messages and handling them instead of the built-in messaging app) as long as it’s running – so it provides an option for having the app run after a soft reset, and also may require a manual restart if Windows Mobile’s built-in memory management decides to shut it down.
