Cingular 3G Market List at BGR
Posted by: PatrickJ on Dec 30 2006 - 1,713 viewsSource: The Boy Genius Report
The Boy Genius Report has a post up with a list of Cingular’s 3G UMTS / HSDPA coverage areas - listing major markets by city.
So if you’re wondering whether your city or town is covered yet, this is a good starting point - albeit one that is presumably changing quickly as new coverage areas are added.
The number of cities / markets covered is not huge yet - hopefully that will change rapidly.
For all the details check the BGR post HERE

Samsung Q1 UMPC: Reading, Writing, and Really Loud Music.
Posted by: dgoldring on Dec 30 2006 - 2,923 viewsSo far, my exploration of the Samsung Q1 UMPC device has gone through the hardware and the connectivity options. Today, in my final look at the device, I’m going to look at the software that makes this thing tick. How does the operating system work? What comes preloaded? What does it need to run really well? And what does it already do really well?

Verizon Will Offer Free Ringtones on New Years Eve
Posted by: PatrickJ on Dec 29 2006 - 2,748 viewsVia: Gizmodo
Verizon customers will be allowed to download a free ringtone from their phone on NYE. Just text "Tone" to the number 2007 and they’ll send you instructions on how to get your freebie ringtone.
Nice gesture from Verizon. Gizmodo also has some choice - and spot-on - comments on the nature of the current VZW Top 10 ringtones.
But I suppose you can avoid those and find something tolerable to use.
See the Gizmodo piece HERE for more details …
