Secure Your Symbian Cell Phone with Phone Guardian
You don’t have to call your cell provider to lock the phone when you lose your phone. Symbianguru, specializing in applicatoins for Symbian 60 series platform, released a very interesting security product - Phone Guardian.
"Phone Guardian is a anti theft and auto lock application for Series 60.3 Symbian smartphones which protects your phone and secures the data on it."
If your mobile is stolen, you can send SMS to lock your phone with Phone Guardian. It can only be un-locked by another SMS with password. It can even send secure SMS if the SIM is changed, with new SIM information.
Here are the other key features :
- Auto lock on SIM change/receiving Lock SMS.
- Automatic sending of alarm SMS to a third party number defined by you with all important information about your phone, also the thief’s location (based on CellID).
- Phone locking can be accompanied with very loud siren, disregarding the profile chosen on the mobile.
- Phone can be locked and unlocked remotely per SMS.
- Auto lock without Siren can be set when the phone is idle for a certain time
