Retrevo is a new search engine, that is billed as ‘The ultimate in consumer electronics search’ – and it works very well.

Discovered this via a demo on the ScobleShow (have been really enjoying quite a few of his interviews on the Zune) and have been checking it out and liking it. Some of its cool features include:

• Breaks up its results into manufacturer info, forums and blogs, reviews and articles, and stores – you can click on any of these ‘channels’ to display only that type of result
• Divides the page up with text / link results on the left and a good-sized preview pane on the right
• You can click a Preview button on any of the plain reults and have it appear in the right-hand pane – which you can also expand (and collapse again when finished) with one click if that page is of interest
• If you register, it shows a shortlist of your recent search terms
• Easy one-click tool for sharing results with colleagues / friends

Retrevo looks good – a useful resource for researching products before purchasing, finding troubleshooting information, and plenty more.
