According to British newspaper The Observer, Google and Orange are in talks to launch a Google branded phone based on an unnamed HTC handset.

Google already has agreements with the networks in England, so is this the start of the next wave of ‘Googliness’ or just more of the same?

"A spokesman for Google said: ‘We don’t comment on market speculation and rumour, but we are focused on mobile and there’s nothing new in our commitment to that space.’ Orange declined to comment."
