December 1st Monday Contest – 5 Free Copies of NewsBreak

CONTEST DEADLINE: Thursday December 7th, 9:00pm US CST

For the first Monday of the month we continue with our monthly giveaway promotion with Ilium Software. This month we have 5 free copies of their excellent NewsBreak RSS application.

As mentioned before at this site, there are a number of very good mobile RSS products out there – but NewsBreak is my own favorite by a wide margin. It is very, very solid, plays nicely with the OS and other apps, never hangs up, looks fantastic, and is simple and fun to use.  Can honestly say I use it heavily every single day.

Read on for more detail and how to win …

Here’s some of the great features of NewsBreak:

  • Alerts – NewsBreak’s "search and alert" technology
scans your important news feeds and lets you know when an event you care about has taken place. If you want more detail, NewsBreak shows you the complete story using familiar Pocket IE technology.
  • Increase Your Productivity – Stay updated on recent events, and turn wasted time into useful time by reading your news anytime, anywhere.
  • News Headline Management – NewsBreak keeps track of what you’ve read, and shows you what’s new.
  • Efficient Communication – NewsBreak updates your headlines only when the info has changed, saving on your battery life and your wireless bill.
  • Complete wireless and ActiveSync passthrough support – Use with your WiFi, Bluetooth, or Pocket PC Phone Edition or Smartphone carrier connection, and when connected to your PC.
  • Custom icons, Today Screen support, landscape and high-resolution support.
  • Complete support for Windows Mobile 5.0 and Pocket PC 2003 Second Edition.
  • Support for Google Gmail and other feeds that require authentication.
  • Ilium Software’s world-class toll-free tech support.

I won Newsbreak here 2 months ago, but was using Egress at the time. I lately switched to Newsbreak, and enjoy it a lot! So everyone: enter this contest! If you win, you’re gonna love it!

AvantGo for now. Would like to compare the two though. AG is restrictive and want more money for more content. Count me in..

I currently use AvantGo and OnDemand. I don’t like either one though.as they are both limited. I would use use newsbreak to aggregate the sites I want and not be limited.

I have just recently purchased a Cingular 8525 and am eager to receive it.
The only thing wrong is that I have no programs for it and am eager to put as many
interesting and productive hardware on it. Would be thrilled to win this item and would
easily look forward to installing it.

I like the convenience of having a list of feed options included, which makes initial setup a breeze.

I like the option of being able to mark all as read or unread. It’s easy to setup and it’s a clean and easy to use interface.
