The first pictures of the E-TEN x500 are starting to appear around the net. The nice thing about this new offering is that E-TEN has started to look at the rest of the market and realize that thin is in. (Obviously not related to vehicles here in the US), thin really is where the converged market seems to be headed and I for one couldn’t be happier. I carry a Cingular 8125 around all day long and the thing is a pig (or atleast as thick as one).

To give you an idea of how "thin" this phone is:

Cingular 8125 – 22.86 mm

Samsung i320 – 11.5 mm

E-TEN x500 – 15.5 mm

E-TEN 600+ – 22 mm

Obviously the x500 is not going to be the thinnest mobile on the market, but it’s a step in the right direction. More pictures and a couple review links can be found on the E-Ten forums – HERE
