Registry Hacks To Restore the Dash’s JOGGR Functions at Msmobiles.com

Via: Mobility Today and Msmobiles.com

Apparently the T-Mobile Dash (HTC Excalibur) is crippled out of the box on its JOGGR (touchpad-like) abilities, and has only volume up and down functionality. But … some intrepid users have hit upon the right registry key changes to restore this functionality, as follows:

With registry editor you need to set:

  • HKCUControlPanelJogBarSettingsBottomKeyApplicationName = Windowsiexplore.exe
… to convince bottom key of the JOGGR to invoke Pocket Internet Explorer
  • HKCUControlPanelJobBarSettingsTopKeyApplicationName = BACK
… to convince top key of the JOGGR to perform "back" function while Internet browsing
  • HKCUControlPanelJogBarSettingsSwitchToAudioFunc = 0
… to make it possible to scroll through web pages by touching JOGGR like you do for example in touch pads in notebooks

As always, you should keep in mind that any registry changes are unsupported and run the risk of trashing your system.
