Sharpcast Photos Beta 2 Launches

Sharpcast Photos is unlike any other photo service due to its continuous multi-way synchronization which keeps a person’s PC in perfect sync with the web and optionally with their mobile phone. For example, when photos are edited in one location such as a home PC, the change is made everywhere else instantaneously and automatically on the person’s other PCs and in their online web albums. If photos are added through a web browser while away from home, those photos automatically appear on the person’s home PC and optionally on their mobile phone.

This new version of Sharpcast Photos looks cool. We’ve posted before on Sharpcast, and absolutely agree with their premise that sync "works best when it’s completely transparent and you don’t have to think about it".

The Sharpcast Photos desktop application is easy to install and to work with. You can edit photos, organize photos into albums, share those or keep them private, add comments to your photos, and create RSS feeds for your albums.

Among the new features for beta 2 are the multiple photo uploader and ability to upload entire albums at once, and edits that sync everywhere automatically – edit a pic on one PC, and the changes immediately get applied to your other PCs and the web.

I also installed their alpha client for Windows Mobile 5 on my 8125. It’s a little large and a little sluggish at the moment (running off the SD card) and does not yet have too many bells and whistles to it – but works well enough.

Free 5gb Account If You Sign Up Soon – The company also announced today that everyone who signs up for a Sharpcast Photos account by November 15 will receive a free 5 GB account through the end of the year.
