Loox N560 – Traditional PDA That Looks Very Much Alive

Are traditional PDAs a dying breed? We’ve probably all read an article or forum post over the last year or so asking that question, or even answering it in the affirmative and predicting the demise of PDAs that are not converged / connected.

As a huge fan of *both* converged devices and traditional PDAs, I still love to see a new PDA that looks capable of turning some heads. Judging by Shaun’s First Impressions post on the new Fujitsu Loox N560, this is one straight-up PDA that’s got a whole lot of life to it.

Check out these partial specs for the N560:

  • Windows Mobile 5
  • 3.5 in. VGA display
  • 64mb RAM, 128mb ROM
  • Integrated SirFStar III chipset GPS Receiver
  • Integrated WiFi 802.11g
  • Intel PXA 270 processor 624MHz
  • SDIO Slot
  • USB Host Connection

This looks like it could give the Dell Axim X51V or just about any handheld a run for its money.

I’m looking forward to seeing Shaun’s review of the Loox N560 next week. For now, take a look at his First Impressions post at:
