The Best 5 Tips We Receive By 11/15 (at 7:00pm CDT) Will Win a Free Copy of Astraware’s Sudoku game

Have you got any cool tips on usage of a popular mobile application? Or on how to get past common issues, and make your mobile device run better and faster for you?

I’m going to look to grow our Quick Tips and How To sections. Rather than relying only on the tips that the site contributors have got up our sleeves, I’d also love to compile some of the best ones that all of you have got while working with your Pocket PCs and Smartphones.

If you’ve got tips you’d like to share, please send them to us at: tips AT justanothermobilemonday.com - and we’ll get all of the best ones posted and credited to each of you who contributes them.

As a bonus, Astraware - makers of award-winning games for multiple mobile platforms - have been generous enough to offer 5 Free copies of their hugely popular Astraware Sudoku game.  Astraware Sudoku is suitable for players of all abilities. Its features include 6 levels of difficulty, pencilmarks in a choice of styles, optional completion and tracking of pencilmarks, a unique and innovative notepad, and an advanced hint system.

Check out this game at:

My tip is an addition to the tutorial listed at AximSite regarding RAM Drives.

    http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=133905

After you create the RAM drive, and set PIE to use that the RAM drive for cache, it’s a great thing to copy a create RAM drive shortcut to the startup folder at “\Windows\StartUp”. I always keep a copy of “RamDisk-8192″ in my StartUp folder to create an 8MB RAM drive. This way when I do a soft reset, it automatically recreates the drive and makes it ready for more internet browsing / anything else with a temporary cache.

I hope the tip I sent through e-mail is also included in the entries for the contest!
In another post it said “by posting your favorite mobile tip here before…” (bold font added by me), but I hope (and assume) e-mails count too :).
Looking forward to see the tips and list of winners!

When using NewsBreak, if you copy an RSS feed to the clipboard and select add RSS feed via URL, it already will have the RSS entry typed out for you. With a program like SOTI Pocket Controller you can add a feed in about 8 seconds. (Desktop clipboard is cloned to the PDA clipboard.) Then just click download default name to get the name of the feed. Click done and another feed has been added.

Do not start playing Astraware’s Sudoku shortly before bedtime, if you keep at it, Puzzle of the Day will change over and you will have to work them instead of sleeping.

Have a loose stylus? Thinly apply some super glue on side of stylus, let it FULLY DRY before inserting back to PPC. Thin layer of dried glue acts as an extra layer which make sylus fit better.
