October Contest – 2 FREE Copies of Mobile Admin Remote Server Management Program
CONTEST DEADLINE: Tuesday, October 31 – 8:00pm US CST
Solve network problems 24/7 from anywhere that you can take your wireless handheld or access the Internet
We’ve got a superb giveaway contest for October for all the network managers out there. Idokorro have been extremely generous and offered up 2 free copies of their Mobile Admin software for our readers.
This is an excellent and very powerful product for monitoring and managing your servers from anywhere on almost any device. I’ve tried it out in the past and it works exceptionally well. Unlike Terminal Services, where you scroll and scramble to see what you need to see, Mobile Admin is designed and optimized for small screen usage – and all your management consoles are quick and easy to navigate through!
Read on for some more details on the extensive capabilities of Mobile Admin, and how to win …
Mobile Admin is pretty much an all-encompassing remote server management solution – allowing you to manage a large array of server platforms, critical network applications and services from a handheld device.
Here’s the list of server / OS types and management console types that are supported by Mobile Admin:
* Microsoft Windows
* Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
* Microsoft DHCP, DNS, and IIS
* Microsoft Cluster Servers
* Microsoft SQL Servers
* Lotus Domino
* Novell
* BlackBerry Enterprise Servers
* Oracle
* Citrix
* RSA Authentication Manager
* Veritas (Symantec) Backup Exec
* HP Integrated Lights Out (iLO)
And the supported devices / client types:
* BlackBerry devices
* Palm devices, including Treo and Tungsten
* Windows Mobile (Pocket PC and Smartphone) devices
* Nokia phones, Series 60 and 80
* Motorola phones
* Sony Ericsson phones
* Any computer or device with an Internet connection and browser (to access the web interface)
This is a very slick solution – it’s designed well and works well. We will be posting a review of working with it very soon.
How To Win:
To Enter & Have a Chance To Win: just add a comment to this post. We’ll enter your name into the Contest Hat, out of which the winning 2 names will be drawn.
To Increase Your Chances of Winning: Visit the link below to get a trial version of Mobile Admin.
Give us some good, solid details on how you would use Mobile Admin to remotely manage your network – what situations it would most help you in – and we’ll add your name to the hat twice.
If you provide a screenshot of your Mobile Admin trial usage, we’ll chuck your name in the hat Three Times!

Well, my ideal usage of such a product would be lying on some white sand beach in the Bahamas while sipping something with a small umbrella in it.
And you should really do something about that sidebar on the right that masks the right side of the message b ox (or make the message box smaller in width).

Hi Ravi – I take it from the 2nd comment that the link is now working? Our hosting company has been having severe problems all day with a denial of service attack – which is still ongoing. So I don’t know what was wrong with links earlier, but believe they’re all working now – let me know if this is still an issue …

Wow. What can I say? This thing is nice but pricey. I use this to create users that need an account on the domain.
I’m game for 3 entries!
