Carbonite Online Backup – Continuous, Unlimited, Automated Backup

Carbonite is an online backup service that’s just got a very nice write-up at TechCrunch, and looks like it may have the perfect simple and affordable online backup solution for many home users.
Here’s what sounds very good about Carbonite:
- Choose to backup entire hard drive, or selected files and folders
- Backs up at around 2gb per day
- NO limit on total storage
- Monitors files that change and backs them up right away
- Files are encrypted
- Deleted files are kept for 30 days
- Restores download at up to 15gb per day over broadband
- $5 per month for the service – less than any of the other leading onlne backup services
If it works as advertised, this seems a hard to beat offering for now – simple, automated, continuous backup protection – at a very attractive price.
