Developing for Windows Mobile? – MS Virtual Labs Online

The Windows Mobile developer team has a series of Virtual Labs available to assist existing or aspiring Windows Mobile developers in creating applications.

They cover a range of topics from developing native applications for Pocket PC and Smartphone devices, to understanding the Windows Mobile security model and Device Security Manager, and developing a SQL Mobile application.

Here’s an overview for one of the lab sessions:

Windows Mobile 5.0: Developing Native Applications for Pocket PC and Smartphone Devices

In this lab you will learn to:

  • Describe the Windows Mobile 5.0 Platform
  • Create native applications for Windows Mobile 5.0 Devices
  • Design mobile applications that are orientation and resolution aware
  • Create CAB installers for mobile applications
