EngadgetMobile has got hold of a press release announcing the release of the much talked about new Blackberry with camera and mulitmedia capabilities – now called the Pearl.

This is the one that will have a camera, EDGE data, micro-SD slot. Nothing special if this were a new Windows Mobile device – but a big change for a Blackberry unit.

I still wonder whether moves like this will keep Blackberry in its strong position among corporates, or whether Windows Mobile now has so much momemtum and a slew of new devices with better specs than the Pearl, that soon corporates will be shifting away from Blackberry in greater numbers.

This certainly helps to make that whole area very interesting.
