VoiceMinder – Incredibly Simple Email Task Empowerment.

I just saw this on Webis’s site – I haven’t really seen any news on it around the web so I figured I’d toss it in here. Seems like a great idea for recording something quickly when you just can’t break out the keyboard and type a note…
From the website:
What is VoiceMinder?
VoiceMinder is a simple solution for those of us who keep track of their task items via email. Currently available for the Pocket PC (soon for SmartPhone), once setup VoiceMinder allows you to quickly record a voice note and have it sent on its way to your email address of choice with just two button presses. No user interface to mess with. No complexities. Just drive/walk/whatever and press the user-configured hotkey to start recording and the hotkey again to stop – instant voice mail!
Built off the FlexMail 2007 SMTP engine, VoiceMinder is coming soon at $6.95 for WebIS Customers and $9.95 for new users.

That does sound cool. I’ll be giving that a try – always feel like I should be making more use of Voice Notes …

Yea, that’s one piece of mobile life I’ve never gotten used to. What I really need is a good voice to text utility. If this had the capability to do voice / transfer to text / then email it would be the ultimate app!

Yeah, I have one of those, and it’s called a secretary…

Nowire – Harsh!
Netsyd – same here – think good voice to text solution would be superb. I believe I could get past the ‘Walking round looking / sounding like a dork’ factor and take voice notes at client sites if there was a good solution in this area …

I totally thought Nowire was saying the application was a joke ** :azz: ** and spent the last 5 minutes over on the Webis site looking for signs of it being fake. Then I came here (because I I had read Nowire’s post via gmail and the other posts weren’t expanded) … and saw the prior post about the secretary.
I’m such a dolt.
