Q&A with Nortel’s new top technologist


Network world interviews Nortel’s top technologist in this informative article. For those of you who don’t know the company Nortel, they are “a recognized leader in delivering communications capabilities that enhance the human experience, ignite and power global commerce, and secure and protect the world’s most critical information.”
Below is a little bit about the interview:

“As Nortel’s new CTO, John Roese must think big. His task is to rally more than 12,000 engineers in product areas as diverse as Ethernet, cellular infrastructure, optical and wireless mesh, and outline R&D and technology strategies for each market. All while the company struggles to regain its footing. For example, Nortel said last week it would cut about 1,900 employees in the next year in an effort to save more than $1.5 billion by 2008.”Click here to continue reading the full interview…
